FOUNDATIONAL CLASSES
All ballet classes have a required studio uniform. All other classes have a dress code. All studio uniforms & dance shoes can be purchased at Premiere. Click HERE for the full Foundational Dress Code.
6 WEEK SESSIONS / SUMMER AND WINTER CAMPS & CLASSES
There is no specific dress code for short-term classes. Dancers should wear form-fitting moveable clothing. Bare feet or ballet shoes can be worn. Tap shoes are highly encouraged for tap classes.
BALLET REQUIREMENT
Ballet is required for all levels in order to enroll in any additional classes. Enrolling in Hip Hop, Acro & Musical Theatre is an exception to this rule. (i.e. – A student wanting to take a jazz, tap, or other foundational class, must also enroll in Ballet. A student only wanting to take hip hop or acro is not required to enroll in ballet.)
DROPPING A CLASS / WITHDRAWING
All students wishing to drop any or all classes will need to fill out the Withdraw Request Form (LINKED HERE). This can be submitted at any point during the year with a 30 day notice. Once the form has been filled out, a member of the Premiere Staff will reach out to you to complete this process. No drop fees will be charged. All cancellations must be received 30 days in advance of the next billing cycle (1st of the month) in order to stop future payment.
6 Week Sessions, Student Events, Winter & Summer Camps / Classes are non-refundable.
Premiere reserves the right to make schedule changes up to two weeks prior to class commencement.
CLASS ATTENDANCE
Please notify the studio by phone or email if your child is sick or planning to be absent from class. Missed classes cannot be made up or refunded. Make up classes will only be available if the studio is closed due to inclement weather or other extraneous circumstances.
CLASS CANCELLATIONS
Classes with less than 5 students may be canceled due to low enrollment. If this occurs, families will be refunded fully for their registration fee.
BEHAVIOR / DISCIPLINE
At Premiere we believe in building a nurturing and exciting environment that manifests students’ physical, emotional, cognitive and creative development. All students & families at Premiere are required to respect fellow classmates, teachers & staff. Disrespectful behavior may result in dismissal from class or the program as a whole.
ANNUAL RECITAL
Details on Premiere’s 2024 annual recital will be announced in January. Dancers choosing not to participate in Premiere’s annual recital need to notify Premiere by December 15th in order to receive a refund on any costume payments. After December 15th, recital refunds will not be processed.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Premiere follows the Waukee School District on all weather related cancellations. If school is canceled and the weather improves by the afternoon, Premiere may hold classes. If the weather is questionable please expect an email confirming any changes to the class schedule by 2p that day. Updates will be posted on our social media. When classes are canceled, dancers are allowed to make-up their class by attending another class of the same level within 1 month of the cancellation date. Please email the office prior to attending a make-up class.
OBSERVATION OF CLASS
A viewing window is available for parents to watch classes. Please be respectful of studio property and others around you when in the waiting area.
